I think its OK to wear a show leash or a martingale in the ring, you can't have a harness on a dog in the ring haha
it would be so silly and the dog wouldn't walk right, possibly pull much etc.
I also use martingales for showing but I dont show Fido, I showed him once as a puppy then nothing more.
also to another response, I forgot it, Fido is a teapot yes he's about 14 pounds.
