First off, congrats on the new puppy. I'm glad you are taking her to the vet first thing, though if you are really concerned a trip to the ER vet this evening might be beneficial.
I'm also thrilled to hear you say that you won't give the antibiotic without having the vet check her out first. I wish more people would be more careful about the willy nilly use of antibiotics.
