Yorkiedaze, that is a great idea, but she probably won't be very receptive to my offer of assistance after she threw her hand in my face and told me that my husband and I were a threat to her and to never speak to her or her family again. This was after we *nicely* asked if she could try to keep her boys from banging on the walls late at night when we were trying to sleep...

I don't like not getting along with neighbors, especially in close quarters like apartment complexes, so we do try to be friendly, and still will. I agree they won't take the puppy away, but maybe it will have her re-think the way she treats it? This was the first time we've heard it crying, so hopefully it was an isolated incident.
