Thanks all. Yes, just go to you tube and then search rag quilt. Several different ones with come up. I watched a couple of them and then started doing one.
It's really simple, cut 8" squares for your quilt top, then 8" squares for your backing, and I cut 6" batton(I used low loft batton) it was perfect, for each square to lay between the front an back square, the sew 1/2" all the way around that square.
Then joint the squares with the seam on top of quilt, it will show. Once all the squares are jointed, I did 5 squares across and 5 squares down, love the size, but you could make it a big as you would like, you clip every 1/2 or so along the seams that showing on top. Also, once joined sew a 1/2 around the out edge too. The outer edge will also be clipped 1/2 all the way around.
Wash it and pull off all the remaining loose threads and that's all there is to it. It's so easy and you will love making it!
