I don't think so at all. As stated in another thread, all companies have the means of Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, e-mail, websites and getting the recall out to all retailers who sell the food. If you are feeding a small-company based food, you are most likely going to hear about the recall just as fast as a large company. I am on an e-mail list for Nature's Variety, for example, and when they voluntarily recalled something, it was sent straight to my e-mail that day. I just don't believe that is the case. The only difference being, like the recalls in 2007, when they were ALL over the news media but that was because it was like 29287474 companies, lol.
