toby was protective about a month after we got him (so thtat woulda made him 4 months old), but we stamped that behavior out REALLY quick. It got so bad that if someone WALKED BY the car we were sitting in he wouuld go nuts and think they were after me. He went after my fiance once as well at this age.... well.... now he welcomes everyone as a long lost friend.... even "smiles"
