I'm so sorry your baby got diagnosed with possible liver shunt. It's really good that you caught it when you did.

Please don't think that liver shunt = death sentence. It does not.

With the proper treatment, dogs with liver shunts, can lead very normal lives.

Many of us on this forum have yorkies with liver shunts or MVD - multiple internal shunting. Somtimes surgery is required; sometimes medication as well; or sometimes just a diet change and medication as needed. So don't give up.
