After reading through recent posts and private messages today, I need to make some things clear.
First, I have am very comforted by all of the support everyone has provided me. It's been an amazing help as I go through this whole shocking ordeal. No one could have prepared us for this, and it has been absolutely incredible to have been supported by all of you!!
Secondly, I think there were some things that were taken the wrong way or, at the very least, misunderstood. Ojai has not been charging me for her help with getting Lily back. There has been no exchange of money or even any mention of it on either side _ever._ She has helped above and beyond any lawyer I've known of or been personally acquainted with. She has been kind, generous, insightful, and incredibly helpful in giving me legal advice and informing me of my rights in the situation. I haven't been offended by anything anyone has said until now. It offends me that anyone would question her integrity and think she was here to harm any YorkieTalk member by expecting payment for her help. Not only her, but I would uphold anyone's character who helped me at YorkieTalk. If anyone was trying to make a profit off of my distress and exploit me, all of you would be the first ones I would tell! Knowing that, this is also the first place I will defend anyone who was wrongly accused of profiteering. If I don't — if WE don't — we will only grow suspicious and distrustful of each other, and then how will we able to support each other in times of need, let alone rejoice with each other over the exciting and beautiful times? That's not the YorkieTalk I have come to know my short time here and I know you all will agree.
Finally, I'm taking a break from YorkieTalk to focus on Lily's return. The support all of you have given me is what I needed to move forward and hopefully soon hold my sweet furbaby Lily in my arms again. This has been an intensely emotional situation and between my career commitments, family, and the situation with Lily, I just don't have anymore time to post updates here until things are resolved. I hope you will understand.
Again, sincerest gratitude for all of the kind words of encouragement. You have all been so supportive and it has meant a lot to me. Due to the drama, I'm having this thread closed. It has taken a turn I didn't expect nor wish.
