I haven't seen this suggestion with the pads. I have read alot about pad training and one site I was on suggested that you use a cage over the pee pad. I found a playpen that turns into five different uses. I don't have my puppy yet but I am going to put it in a rectangle cage ( no top) and just sit her in there every time I want her to go. You just set the cage on top of the pee pad. It also has a door so when they start to go to it you can open the door. Just a thought.
