I sit my puppy on the dining room table in front of me for some of his training sessions - he is so little that we can actually do "sit," "stay," "come," and "shake hands" on the table top. He is given treats during these training sessions, and, of course, my other dog is on the floor waiting for treats also.

So - as I train the puppy - I hand treats down to my other dog.

The cute thing that my pup does - is when I ask him to "sit" for a treat --I can't get him to get up again. He has learned that he gets a treat for sitting and won't get out of that position. He looks at me like he's saying, "Well - I'm still here - give me another one!"

My pup does stay focused on me and his treats for these training sessions. Apparently, they are more important to him than anything the other dog might do. But, then, my other dog is sitting pretty quietly because he's getting treats also.

Good luck!
