I so wish I had been able to tell you all of this before I gave Lily back last night. Had I known it was a civil matter, as well as the contract, etc., I would have put more of a fight and told Kay as well.

The woman truly is mentally unstable. I know she will take good care of Lily, but she has left a wake of horrible experiences towards everyone in our small community. She even signed over custody for her own son to the police at one time. I only learned of all of this yesterday after giving Lily back to her.

Having already given her back, and knowing Kay (the owner) isn't going to pursue anything more at this point, I don't think there's anything more I can do since I'm not the legal owner, especially now that we've given her back.

I'm beyond grief over her loss. Thank you all for your support. I hope someday soon I'll find another Yorkie. It won't take the place of Lily, but hopefully it will help me and my sister transition and move forward.
