Actually long coated dogs are more protected from the heat or cold with the long cold, that's nature's misterious ways
Mojo has his belly trimmed every 2 weeks, i keep it very short...also every 3 days i wash his "pee area" with a damp cloth and a bit of shampoo...i also wipe it almost daily, before bed, with bath wipes or regular baby wipes.
