Puppies eyes will tear during teething, so it's pretty common at that time. As an adult Joey's eyes rarely teared, but after switching to Blue Wilderness he developed excessive eye tearing. Within a day of swiching back to his normal food most of the goop was gone, but it took abut 10 more days to completely clear up. After a month I tried it again with the same results and that time it took longer for the tearing to completely go away. So no more experimenting with foods for me.
