We have a golf course not far from us and coyotes have been seen there on several occasions. I'm not sure what they like about golf courses because I don't think coyotes are fond of golf balls. It may be that the golfers carry snacks or some type of food that is left along the way. Of course many golf courses are in areas that adjoin a forested area and are outside of town. With more and more people encroaching on wild areas the wild life is running out of places to hunt and live a normal life. I have deer eating out of my bird feeders regularly and they don't seem very shy about it. Coyotes feed mostly on mice and rats but will eat a bunny if given a chance. Another good reason for small dog owners not to leave their babies unattended. |
