We live in MN and our winters are very harsh, there were times last winter I would open the door and Lucy would take one look at me and turn back inside and then a few minutes later there would be an accident.
I have to say that since her accidents are so small it doesn't bother me that she went inside BUT I don't want her to be confused or have mixed signals.

We got Lucy when she was 2 1/2 and she was outside trained by her first owner so we continued to take her outside but here are my questions:

Can I train her to go on pee pads inside in the winter when it's just too nasty outside for her to go out?

Will it be confusing for her if we take her outside and let her go inside too?

I am a fairly new yorkie owner so I am just not too familiar with inside pee pad training at all and not sure if they can be trained to do both outdoor and indoor bathroom time?!
