Your post made me laugh...your dog sounds exactly like mine! I also have a Yorkie/Maltese named Lucy. She is 6 months old, and let me tell you, she is a WILD one!
She loves to play with my dads Pekingese. She jumps on Lizzy constantly, never giving it a rest. If Lizzy is around, she wants nothing to do with anything else! I am continually trying to separate them.
A couple of weeks ago we were playing with a ball. She jumped up and hit the bone under my eye really HARD with her skull...just being crazy, exicted to play with me. Well, the next day, I had the biggest shiner you ever saw, lol. It just went away completely. I had it for almost 2 weeks! Only I could get a black eye from a 7 pound dog.
I think Maltese are supposed to be a gentle breed? I guess she is more Yorkie. I love her like crazy!
As far as bows go, I let the groomer do it
The feathers you see in the picture below are gone now...she got them out somehow. They only lasted a couple of days. I guess she didn't like them!
