I'm not sure people have their dog's ears "clipped" --- do they?
Aren't we referring more to just having the hair around the upper third of the ears clipped? This just removes some of the weight off the ears and help the ears go up.
It worked with my pup. (They may have gone up anyway - we'll never know.) But I removed the hair from the upper third of my pup's ears - and around the edges - and his went up in a couple of days and have stayed up every since.
