My schedule changes every year from summer to fall. The pups have me all to themselves all summer and then I'm working long hours during the school year. The last two years (since we've had them), Ivan has had a really hard time adjusting to me going back to work in the fall. He got anxious and even had potty setbacks. He will sit for hours and just watch for my car to pull up. It seems to take him a month or so to adjust. He still likes it better when Momma is home all day, but he does adjust. Daddy is home with them, so they aren't alone, but Ivan is Momma's Boy. Iris takes it all in stride. She's an independent little girl.

Sounds like Princess just needs some time to adjust to the new schedule. I agree that a good long walk will help, especially if you can give her one before you leave in the morning. Exercise always helps Ivan cope. I know Princess has had some recent health issues so I don't know if she's ready for full exercise but I believe a tired puppy is a happy puppy.

I'll be right there with you in another week when I go back to work.
