I cannot believe how little information there is on cutaneous vasculitis. I just googled it hoping to find some pictures and information for you The symptoms vary...some dogs have darkening of the hair and some lose patches of hair. Dixie was losing hair on her belly and down her back. She ended up with some scarring and permanent hair loss.
Like I said, I could be wrong....but I swear that it looks like it and sounds like it.
The fact that the vet mentioned it might be from the rabies even makes me more suspicious of it.
I don't know that a biopsy is needed for a diagnosis, but could be. My vet took one look and knew what it was....Dixie had been to another vet first who did not know what it was. |
