This sounds like a good idea. My cousins husband was walking his little toy pinscher around the block (flat road no sidewalk) and some fool came flying around the turn and ran him over. Poor little boy died and he had to return to my cousin with their dog and news(I guess there was nothing that could be done.) Sad thing too...it was right before christmas and my cousin was 9 months pregnant. She was devistated.
I will definitely keep her on a short leash and pick her up at crosswalks.( oh yeah and only walk on sidewalks)
