Default Cat Attack

Hi everyone, new to this so hope i done this correct, I have a 7month yorkie who is very small, but very healthy, (was ) we have a very large garden and max was in the garden as a neighbours cat was sat hidden in the garden, not sure what happened but the next thing was Max was yelping and saw the cat running away, we gathered the cat had attacked max and on examining him we found couple puncture marks, took him to the vets, who gave him antibiotic/ painrelief injection on 2 contineous days, then a 5 day course of oral antibiotics, he has only 2 days supply left, but now even thou max is eating/running around i have noticed the wound has now become a lump and he wont let you near it, he back to the vets on finishing his medication, worried that this might be an absess. Also am scared of letting him out in his own garden.
