I don't care about mice so much, though generally speaking, I don't want them infesting my space.

Spiders are the creepiest things on the planet. I was lying in my bed innocently one Saturday not too long ago, and the hugest spider I've ever seen came crawling up on my pillow, cool as you please. I tried to set Thor on it, but he kept looking at me, all "why are you so freaked out???? What am I supposed to do?"

When I finally got up the nerve to kill it... I COULDN'T FIND IT. No joke, I slept on the couch for a week. By then, I had enough courage to change the sheets. Still gives me the shivers thinking about it.
