Default New hard headed rescue pup

According to the vet, he's approx 1 year old. We also have a 5 year old lovable male beagle which may explain the constant peeing on the rugs inside - could he be trying to assert his dominance? We do take him out often to our enclosed pen as my wife is home all day.

We thought he also may have a UTI and is currently on his 2nd week of meds. He's fine at night in his crate and tells me (usually at 4 AM) when he has to go out. Hope he can hold it longer in the future so we can all sleep later. We do restrict his water intake at night with his last drink around 7. Other than that he has a great personality and he's the 2nd Yorkie we've had so we know the breed well. Any ideas? Thanks all.
