Having always worked in a medical building attached to a hospital, I found out the area around a hospital is one of the most hazardous there is! People rushing to family members in the E.R., husbands rushing screaming mommies-to-be in and such - have never seen such driving and failure to yield/stop/look. And many of them are docs trying to get in FAST. It is surely NOT a safe place for those walking - or driving. Plus, there are a lot of sort of addled people just walking aimlessly around - will talk right into you or out in front of your car. Thankfully, your baby was safe this time.
