How often are you taking Sophie for walks? Have you tried doing the every hour or two hour walks? You will need to use a word that she can associate going potty. I think that she is probably giving you signals but you just may not know them. I would try putting her on a strict every hour schedule for now. Once you take her out of her crate, take her immediately outside, use a phrase only for this purpose.
As for separation anxiety, have you tried desensitiving her to you leaving? Try going into another room for a few seconds and then come back in. Keep doing this so she will see that you will be back. Don't make any fuss or speak to her, just keep going and coming back in. Increase the times as you see she is progressing. Good luck. |
