Default Need help please.

Our little yorkie has always been happy and in good health. I was ill and did not get to groom her, kept her in full coat. I had to give her a puppy cut. I noticed a small lump on the tip of her ear. She had apparently been scratching it, there was dried blood. Took her to a vet and she said it was probably a benine cyst. Then she came back in and said she would like to send a sample to a lab for testing. This was nearly 5PM on a Thursday. She called Sat. morning and said it was a malignant tumor and wanted to schedule surgery and remove part of her ear. I am in shock. I asked her to fax me a copy of the lab report. Instead, she called back and said since I was so upset the other Vet said he could give her a cortizone injection first to see if it helped. I don't know what to do. We have had since she was 8 weeks old and she is 10 yrs. old now. Anyone ever heard of this? I would do anything to help her but I don't trust them now. Are there any Vets who specialize in this? Thanks!
