I was told, and it's been my experience that Yorkies don't really small much, and when they get wet they don't smell like your typical wet dog.
Unless he rolls around in something stinky Ruger generally smells pretty good and I give him a bath around once a week. For me, the problem isn't giving him a bath, but brushing him. You have to time it just right -- almost when he's dry but still just a little damp.
Fortunately, he likes baths and getting brushed. I had to force both in the beginning, but now he jumps in the tub and jumps in my lap when I pick up his brush.
I've never tried those wipes on him since it's easier to just bathe him. |
