I've got two yorkies who are wonderful with kids, strangers and other dogs. My mom's 2 are nippy. I can only assume it's the upbringing.
Potty training has been a challenge, but if you are consistent and vigilant it's something you can handle. I did find it easier to train my female than my male, but that could be due more to their individual personalities rather than their sexes.
