I think for my entire childhood we had a few Chi's at a time with one big dog-I think they were all lab mix rescues and they all got along great.
Princess got along fine with the last lab mix who has since crossed the bridge, but he was a senior & very laid back. She would "insist" he play with her sometimes & he'd politely tell her to buzz off.
