Harley is indoor trained!!! I use a grid system, rather than pee pads. it's a blessing cause I live in Canada, our snow is usually wet and messy, plus they salt so much here that it is a hazard to thier feet. In the winter Harley usually only goes outside every 2 weeks. I bought Harley this great coat, it's got a fleece lining and a hard shell they come apart and can be used together or individually.
We have lots of indoor agility equipment that I made (we compete) so he does that to get exercise, and we usually do weekly classes in an indoor area so he still gets out.
If you do walk outside in the snow make sure you either get them boots or a product to protect thier pads of their feet from salt. I use invisiboot, it's a cream that moisturizes and protects the feet. Pawz are good if they fit, but Harley's are too big for him.
