Poor Couver! Don't beat yourself up. I haven't dealt with fleas (not yet), but I have read here about vacuuming like crazy, every nook and cranny. Keep vacuuming for awhile because I think they lay eggs that hatch later and that is what makes them difficult to combat.
Hope Couver gets some fast relief with the shampoo and med.
