Jackson does really well with children, though he can be really soft or shy. He doesn't like kids just running up to him and being really forward, if he doesn't know the kid, they have to take it slow. So I usually give the kid a treat to give him and show them how to approach him from UNDER the chin rather than over the head. However the kids that he knows, like my young siblings (3 1/2 and 7 1/2) and cousins, he is AWESOME with.

And no possessiveness. I started training him the day I brought him home at 9 weeks old and established a really good bond and connection with him but I also taught him how to accept my hand in his bowl, take away treats/bones, etc. He's never growled at me ever and I think if he did, I'd be certain there was some sort of medical problem, because I just can't see him ever doing it.
