I go through Atlanta a LOT but never have the time or the desire to exit security!
We have found our "spots" in ATL.
By the elevators are little "nooks" that the flight attendants catch quick naps in ~ also a good place for a pee pad _ ATL does NOT like dogs outside of carriers
the other spot is the "family bathroom". Sugar potties and/or eats a meal there when need be.
We can usually spend 10-15 minutes with her outside of her KB and stretching her legs before the next "leg" of our flight
