My 14y.o. dd is having a terrible time with arthritis in her knees, one in particular is really flaring up. I had to take her to immediate care a few days ago as it was crippling & she had volleyball try-outs.
The Doc said to give her glucosamine chondroitin & it should help repair her knee a lot. He also suggested a rheumatologist & possibly knee surgery in the future!
She's also on prednisone for 5 days to match the shot she got, too & ultram for pain prn.
I looked at Walgreens for the supplement & it ranged from about $25-$55 for a months supply. I'm not looking to order it from a third world country or anything, but just wondered if anyone knows of a cheaper place to get something like that.
