Sad Bladder Stone Removal Surgery Last Thursday

Maddie had a pretty large stone removed thursday (about 2cm). She is on tramadol 3x a day and clavamox. The vet made it seem like she would pretty much back to her normal self by now. Yesterday she starting throwing up and shaking. The vet thought she threw up from the antibiotic and not having anything in her stomach and just being in so much pain. I took her in and they gave her some morphine and rimadyl (sp?). After the morphine injection she starting acting really goofy. The vet said she was "high as a kite". They kept her at the office for a few hours and did some x-rays of her lungs and such to make sure that she wasn't having any breathing problems. When I picked her up she said that she should be feeling much better today. Problem is, she is such a zombie. She just lays there. If I call her name she will move her eyes to look at me but that is it. I carried her outside this morning and she peed and carried her back in and she just stood there for about 10 minutes and finally laid back down. She won't eat her normal food so I am giving her chicken and rice. I called the vet again and she said that some dogs just take longer to heal.

My question is, did anyone else have this problem with their dog after this surgery? I just hate to see her laying there doing nothing, never moving. Do you think it is normal for her to be that zonked out? I did a search for bladder stones and some posts made it sound like their dogs were back to normal the next day I guess I am just looking for some reassurance. Thanks..I just wish I could trade places with her!
