I had never thought of this issue before. It is huge to me.
Would that make me switch from Fromm or Acana to say SD? I am starting to think the answer is yes.

I disagree. All companies have the same means: FDA announcements, press releases, email, Facebook, Twitter, joining various alert systems. I don't see where a larger company would have an advantage in resources to get the word out.
