I am lucky in that I found a salon owned by two ladies on the YTCA Breeder referral page (Vicki and Judith). My Pixie got her first grooming there (ear trim and butt shave).
She screamed like she was being murdered, but I knew it was just puppy histrionics. I'm just glad that I know I can go there, and have my Pixie cared for by people who have intimate knowledge of the Yorkie breed.

I am glad to hear you have found someone that you have confidence in again. I am thinking that with any breed that has lots of hair and fur, this can be a nerve wracking thing. Confidence in your groomer to do your dogs right is paramount.
oh my gosh! what a cutie your little pixie is! thanks for sharing the picture! i am in total agreement with you, and i am glad you have also found a great groomer for your little one! hopefully your pixie will have a better time with the groomer as she gets older, i'm sure she will. my pixie is 15 months old, this is her 2nd professional groom and she did much better this time around than her 1st time when she was around 7 months old.
