Use hydrogen peroxide that is made for a dental rinse. Just the kind you buy at the drug store - ?3%? Wait an hour and use a warm, gentle saline or saline/baking soda rinse. Google these terms and you will find the parts to use per water. The peroxide will go straight to the inflammed area and start to fizz. That fizz action can work out particles of things that shouldn't be there. Follow up with a good flossing of the area and then the saline rinse. No water for a while so that the saline can work. You can do this while waiting to see a dentist. I have had popcorn stuck like this and this method helped tremendously! Hope is helps you. Just be sure to use the hydrogen peroxide made for mouth rinsing and not that for hair lightening! P. S. You can apply some Orajel (?spelling?) or something like that if it is very sore till you see the dentist.
