Being a breeder means giving up your own sleep for as long as you have to while caring for your dogs... this is why I have very few mirrors in the house, LOL!

I would supplement your bitch with 1/2 tums am and pm and give her a variety of food to choose from. Vanilla yogurt, cottage cheese, boiled chicken, rice, whatever she seems to be interested in eating. I use a raw mix meatball that my dogs will inhale even when they're not hungry...pm me for the recipe if you'd like.
You can try playing soothing music (sounds nutty, but I swear by it) and keep her confined in an ex-pen set up around the whelping box to keep her from exhausting herself running around the house. Have the box in a quiet, draft free corner of a room where she will feel less fearful of disruption and you can try draping a fitted sheet over the pen to give her a more cave-like/safe atomosphere.
good luck
