Oh how awful. I would think that the local news would do a human interest story (??)
I would definitely put up fliers everywhere, contact local shelters, vets offices, police and make them all aware of the situation. I would also contact the pet stores just in case they were brought in while purchasing supplies.
Will be saying an prayer for a safe and quick return.
