This is at least the second recall on Merrick treats this year. The company recalled Texas Taffy for salmonella back in January 2011. And, only 6 months prior to that, in June 2010, the FDA sent a warning letter to Merrick (see,
Tejas Industries Inc. 6/1/10) about their salmonella issues. How many times will it take before we as consumers can feel safe with dog treats.
