Maybe the vet can tell you if it's a health issue OR an attitude problem.
I also work from home and doted on my fur kids. In one of her many tempter-tantrums, Ruby peed on my couch because I wasn't giving her all the attention she wanted. Attitude problem!!! After 4 years of trying to find a "happy place" where we could all live together with some sort of normalcy, I had to rehome her.
