Just resting now. Just had to give Tibbe his second bath in one week. Let him out to potty, stepped thru Utility Porch and into the den to see something on TV, lingered a couple of minutes and then went to let Tib back in. Opened back door to a complete mudball with legs!!! There stood the light of my life completely covered in mud, especially great wads of it all on his back, neck and top of his head. He was dark brown basically all over with only his legs near their normal color when wet!
Had been watering this morning and right up against the house, there is a place where the St. Augustine doesn't hug right up to the brick with some mud showing and my dear little Yorkie found that cool and very wet spot and in those 2 minutes, availed himself of a lovely mud bath! And the look on his face was one of supreme satisfaction with his state. He looked very happy with himself standing there brown all over!
He was so cute I couldn't be frustrated with him, despite the fact that I had to stop everything and bathe him right then. I have never seen so much mud on one little dog. He really had to wallow hard to dig up that much mud and get it into his hair so deeply! I had to scrape off 2 big clods B4 could start shampooing. We went out in the sun to dry off and then he had a nice application of his perfume and he's back to chilling on the couch - very happy with himself, no doubt. I felt so yucky I had to shower and now I am chilling on the couch and surfing YT!
