| Whoa - just read the Puppy Contract from the second site - NOT GOOD! Anyone who only wants to give you a replacement puppy and is not willing to cover medical bills in the case of a genetic problem when the pup could still live - I wouldn't do business with. They're counting on you wanting to keep the puppy that you've already become attached to. Sorry but I wouldn't want another puppy from that breeder if my pup had a congenital/genetic defeat. I believe that a good breeder would just want to do what's right - and that's not what I read in their contract. If they're concerned about having to cover expenses from a lot of customers --- then I would take it that they're not breeding good dogs and they know it.
