Yogi got sick every time, when he was younger. And still gets a little queasy sometimes. What I found that finally worked was, I'd always have his car seat in the front and I put all the air vents I could directed straight at him and had them blowing hard. If he had to be in the back I made sure his seat was by the window and had it rolled down some so that the air would hit him. It was almost as though his body couldn't process the sensation of movement without the feeling of air blowing over him. I figured this out after I realized he didn't get sick when he went for rides on the motorcycle. I hope this helps, it's so upsetting to them and us when they get car sick.
