I feed Natural Balance because of Pebbles allergies. She was a total mess before I switched. Currently, I am feeding the Brown Rice and Lamb LI but have used the Sweet Potato and Venison as well as the Sweet Potato and Bison in the past. They changed the sweet potato formulas a while back and as soon as they did Pebbles started to have allergy issues again The bison just stunk like I had a bison living in my kitchen
I've had the best result with the Brown Rice and Lamb. Now that you mention the dry itchy and flaky skin I do remember Pebbles having problems similar before I changed to the NB.
If you buy from Petco they have a return policy so there is no worry about the cost of a food not working.
I'd be leery of feeding the raw medallions. There have been a few people that had issues that I can remember. They switched to kibble and have not had any issues since. Let me see if I can remember who it was.
