I personally don't feed rawhide to my dogs because I have heard it can cause internal blockage. Not sure if that is right or not, but just don't want to take a chance. I feed bully sticks to mine and they love them and they are digestable.
Also, I believe I would buy toys without squeakers and/or stuffing so he can't get the squeakers out and swallow them, or eat the stuffing.

A vet friend I had once told me to
never give rawhide! He's had to surgically remove
sooo many internal blockages from dogs that it was unbelievable! It was obvious how upset he was about having to keep doing this. It's something I sure don't want to see happen to my girl.
