I leave my girl home alone about 6 hours 4 days a week. Starting next week it will probably be more like 8 hours per day. She does fine. I'm pretty sure she sleeps most of day. She is always very excited when I get home and plays hard most of the evening. On the weekends when we are all home she doesn't get near as much sleep and acts exhausted in the evenings. I'm sure your dog will adapt and be just fine.
