Your post reminds me so much of my golden retriever, Burney. When he was about a year old, I also took him to his vet because he had never barked. I was worried that something was wrong. His vet said "You feed him the best food, his teeth are in excellent condition, he lives better than most people I know...what does he have to bark about!!" I still remember that and it's been over twenty years.
I'm sure your baby will be fine. Burney eventually did bark.
