The people I know would never sell a pup younger than 12 weeks of age. It is so important for the pups to stay with the mom longer to learn better social skills from the dam, for the breeder to evaluate them longer, and so that they get a better start before going to their new homes. We also llike to avoid any hypoglycemia due to stress and leaving the mother too soon is a lot of stress on the pup.
Do not rush into getting just any pup. Do your research. All yorkie pups are cute when young, but as they grow you will see the difference in quality.
